Arthur "Art" Bernstein

Qualification:
Representative of General Public (#1)

Art Bernstein was appointed to the CCAC in 2021 and holds the position of representing the general public.

As a passionate numismatist, Art enjoys sharing stories of his coin and banknotes collections. He is a life member of the American Numismatic Association, the American-Israel Numismatic Association, and the International Bank Note Society.

Professionally, Art recently retired the Chief Operating Officer at the law firm of Tucker Ellis LLP, based in Cleveland, OH.

Art graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Public Administration from the University of Virginia, with an M.A. in Public Administration and from the University of Southampton (England) with an M.Sc. in International Politics. He remains active in the alumni associations of all three schools and avidly supports their sports teams.

Outside of his role in law firm management, Art is an active Boy Scout Leader serving as a local Scoutmaster and has had the opportunity to lead troops to International and National Jamborees. As a coin collecting merit badge counselor, he has counseled hundreds of Scouts in both California and Ohio, and has helped them to earn the Coin Collecting badge and further their advancement in scouting. He is an Eagle Scout, a recipient of the Silver Beaver, the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award and he currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Lake Erie Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Art and his wife, Patricia McCall, live in downtown Cleveland, Ohio and Los Altos Hills, California.
